Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Francisco, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. I dropped in here for lunch right before I had a flight to catch, and to be honest, Iβve already decided Iβm coming back. Because I was in a rush, speed was everything, and they absolutely delivered - my ramen was hot and ready on the table within 5 minutes of ordering! The service was incredibly fast, and the staff was amazing throughout. Beyond the efficiency, the food itself tasted wonderful. The restaurant's location is excellent, and the interior is beautifully planned and decorated, giving it a really nice vibe. As a huge plus, they have multiple vegetarian options on the menu. This makes it an ideal spot for groups where some people want vegetarian dishes and others want non-veg options. If you need a delicious, top-tier bowl of ramen - even on a tight schedule - this is the place to go.

Hidden gem! This place has one of the best Ramen Iβve ever had! The flavors were on point with the perfect amount of spice! The atmosphere is perfect, open kitchen dim lights and nice decor. I would recommend it.

So so so good!!!! Huge portions of ramen which is great because itβs delicious! The beer I got was made with yuzu and they had yuzu sodas my kids loved (the peach was so refreshing and yummy). I had the spicy ramen and it wasnβt too spicy. I love spicy but it would be good for people who canβt handle it too spicy. The entire atmosphere was cozy and welcoming and everything cane out incredibly fast. The staff was also really nice and helpful as well. My entire family enjoyed this place!

If you have tried Ippudo in other countries, you will love the San Francisco location. The menu here is much bigger and offers more unique choices than its international counterparts. We got the shiromaru classic and akamaru modern is the perfect move. The Classic is smooth and comforting, while the Modern adds black garlic oil for a richer, smokier flavor. Unfortunately both were served lukewarm but overall still are excellent. The Pork Bun is tender and sweet, and the Chicken Bun adds a great, crispy crunch to the meal which i like. You can't go wrong with this order. Between the delicious food and the expanded menu variety, it is a highly satisfying spot that stands out from other locations worldwide.

Ippudo is a great ramen spot close to Union Square. It is has an excellent set of vegetarian ramen options. We had the Nirvana Karaka vegetarian ramen and the broth was rich and spicy. The noodles were also perfectly down with some but not too much chewiness. Washing this down with an ice-cold Sapporo beer was perfect! Decor was simple and chic and service was good. Great for a quick, savory and light meal.
